2009 HardRock FAQ’s |
-
Can I request specific days of competition?
Requests for specific days of competition are accepted. These requests are prioritized based on the date full payment of meet fees is received at the gym. While we cannot guarantee that your request will be honored, we do our best to accommodate everyone’s travel schedule. Last year we accommodated over 99% of the requests.
-
What should I do if I can't compete on Saturday or Sunday for religious reasons?
Please see the FAQ “Can I request specific days of competition?” These types of requests are handled in the same manner and prioritized accordingly.
-
When will the session schedules be available?
Once about 1,000 gymnasts are registered for the meet a preliminary session schedule will be posted on the HardRock website. This preliminary schedule usually is posted sometime in November.
-
When will I know which sessions my gym will be competing?
Gyms will not be placed into sessions until AFTER the close of registration deadline on December 15, 2008. Please realize that placing 1500+ gymnasts in 27 sessions is a massive undertaking which takes time. The session schedule with gyms assigned will be available as early in January as possible. It will be posted on the web and emailed to each gym.
-
What is a “recruitable” gymnast?
Because of the recruiting interest of college coaches who attend the HardRock, we attempt to highlight college eligible gymnasts by providing a special competition number and also providing a list of these gymnasts to the attending college coaches. The HardRock definition of a “recruitable” gymnast is any Level 10 or Elite Gymnast who is a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in High School.
-
How do I tell the HardRock who my “recruitable” gymnasts are?
When you submit your official gymnasts registration sheet along with your meet payment, just mark the gymnasts that are recruitable on that sheet. If you need to update your list, just email the meet scorer.
-
Are meet fee waived for National J.O. Team members?
No. Meet fees are waived for all Junior and Senior USA National Elite team members ONLY. The names of these gymnasts are listed on the USAG website under Senior and Junior National Team.
